If you are looking for a great way to not only save money but time as well Freezer Cooking is a great option. Almost anything freezes.
When you are making dinner tonight why not make an extra copy or two of your recipe. It doesn't take that much longer and it's cheaper to buy in bulk so buy enough to make one, two, or even three copies of your recipe.
You will also need Ziplock Freezer bags, any freezer bags will work but I've found that Ziplock brand works the best to guard from freezer burnt.
After you've prepared the extra food all you have to do is put enough (around 4 cups for a family or four. One cup serving per person. Add a little more if your family is larger or if your family has a bigger appetite.) in a Ziplock bag to make a meal then close it and put it in the freezer. It also helps to label what it is and when it was frozen. Freezer meals are usually good for up to 3 months.
I will be posting tasty freezer meals later tonight so be sure to check back!!
