With the prices of everything skyrocketing why not save yourself a little money by making your own laundry soap! The recipe listed below is very cost efficient and pretty simple as well.
3 Gallons of Hot water
1 Bar of Ivory Soap
1 Cup Borax
1 Cup Arm and Hammer Washing Soda
First Grate the Ivory Soap bar into a sauce pan. Add just enough water to cover soap and stir over a low heat until soap is completely dissolved.
Add soap and water mixture to hot water, stirring well. Add remaining ingredients stirring until well mixed and dissolved.
[If you would like your homemade laundry soap to smell good you can add a few drops of essential oil.]
Marsha S. says that she has been using this recipe for 10+ years and has never had any problems with it. I plan to use this myself and after doing so I will let you know what I think as well!
